Hi, I’m Sineen!

I’m a senior studying UX Design with minors in Entrepreneurship and AI at the University of Michigan’s School of Information.

Designing with empathy and building experiences through a people-centered approach is my greatest passion. Because what’s the point of aesthetic design if it doesn’t solve real problems?

I am always asking myself: “How can I improve the lives of these people?”. Even when all I am doing is baking a simple cake.

Outside of design, you’ll usually find me reading, experimenting in the kitchen, traveling, or hanging out with animals.

The day I crossed horseback riding off my bucket list—

Turns out I’m allergic to horses

I could rave about her all day

This bird tried to eat my nose—

Thankfully, it was not caught on camera

About my logo

When taking on the exhaustive process of designing my logo, I first thought about what represents me. A large part of who I am comes from my culture and religion. My name, my identity represents both. Once I had a direction, I started sketching.

My name, written in Arabic, begins with the letter “Seen” (س) and my last name ends with the letter “Noon” (ن). I drew inspiration from Arabic calligraphy to connect the the letters.

As an Arab-American, I like to think of myself as carrying a global perspective. It pushes me to design with empathy: for different languages, cultural contexts, and accessibility in every sense. This mindset keeps me grounded in creating solutions that truly serve the needs of the people I design for.
